Mountain Reflections is an Intermediate Foundation Paper Piecing pattern inspired by the peaceful moments of reflection found during hikes in the Scottish mountains, and tries to bring a little of that calm back to the hustle and bustle of modern life.

I had a lot of fun creating this quilt top. For my design I was going for the sunrise /sunset on the mountain with a reflection on water but this pattern lends itself to many interpretations and sewists could come up with any combination to create a fun and unique top

This pattern holds so many possibilities with the reflective design, and piecing it and watching each mountain come together is a fun and quick process, with clear instructions and diagrams included. The end result is a beautiful, craggy, almost crystalline top that would make both a great quilt and wall hanging.
