Talks & Workshops

I’m passionate about quilting and enjoy encouraging others to explore new techniques, which I’m thrilled to share through my lectures and workshops, available both virtually and in person for quilting guilds, shops, and retreats around the world.

While in-person sessions provide a unique experience with the energy of a shared space and hands-on learning, I’m thankful for the technology that allows me to connect with quilters around the world, breaking down geographic barriers.

Now booking for 2025 and beyond, I’m excited to introduce my new lecture, "Adventures in Modern Quilting," along with a range of technique-focused workshops in a format that suits your needs—see below for more details.

Let’s do this!

I would love to visit your group. For pricing and availability information, please fill out the form to get started with a no obligation enquiry.

Adventures in Modern Quilting

Lecture

This talk covers how I started quilting, my discovery of modern fabric and designs and the process of designing my first pattern. I will discuss how my pattern designing journey has evolved over the years and how that helped me build belief in my abilities. This emotional journey culminates when I was asked to write a book and finally overcame imposter syndrome which inspired me to create a resource to help quilters of all experience and abilities feel confident in their skills.

Sew Scrappy with English Paper Piecing

workshop

English Paper Piecing is highly portable and a brilliant way to use up scraps. Fabric is attached to paper templates to create crisp corners and precise shapes, then hand stitched together before removing the paper. Perfect for a multitude of shapes and a wide range of projects, scrappy piecing can produce truly beautiful results. In this class you will learn to cut the papers and fabric, tack and stitch some shapes together. We will discuss how the method can be used to create different effects, and you will leave with a section of paper pieced patchwork.
