Mountain Reflections Tester Parade
Celebrating the amazing work of my testers is always my favourite part of a pattern release, and this one is no different! As the Mountain Reflections quilt is more intricate than my usual designs I kept the tester pool small but they were definitely mighty - their feedback was absolutely invaluable in helping get this pattern ready for the world and their quilts are absolutely gorgeous. Stepping away from the classic green and blue mountains, Kersten has chosen a fantastic colour gradient for her quilt! I absolutely adore the vibrant pinks and oranges merging into mellower blues and teals, and the use of a darker sky really makes the colours pop - I can’t wait to see this quilted!
“ I had a lot of fun creating this quilt top. For my design I was going for the sunrise /sunset on the mountain with a reflection on water but this pattern lends itself to many interpretations and sewists could come up with any combination to create a fun and unique top” Kersten

Flipping the blue and green, Aarti has made a lovely and peaceful version of this quilt - I can feel the tranquility rolling over me just looking at it. The use of some textured fabric in amongst the blues really adds an extra depth to Aarti’s quilt, and I kind of wish I’d thought of that myself!

The end result is a beautiful, craggy, almost crystalline top that would make both a great quilt and wall hanging.”
