Meet Modern Quilting: From First Stitches to Finishing Touches - I wrote a book!

After keeping the secret for almost two years, I finally let the cat out of the bag and announced that I’ve written a book, Modern Quilting, publishing in July with @thecrowoodpress. My advance copy has now arrived, so I’ve taken the chance to tell you all a bit more about it! This is the first in a series of videos I’ll be sharing to explore the contents of the book; make sure that you’re tuning in every Tuesday to see the rest!

Hi, I’m Cait of Cait Lisle Designs and I’m here to talk about my new upcoming book, Modern Quilting: From First Stitches to Finishing Touches, publishing this July with The Crowood Press.

This book has something for everyone, whether you’ve never picked up a needle, perhaps have a few quilts under your belt, or you’ve got a bit more experience, you’ll find something for you in this book. This book covers everything you need for your modern quilting journey. It starts with getting started before moving on to step-by-step guides to 26 key blocks and techniques that you’ll use time and time again.

There are 11 quilt patterns ranging from cushion to wallhanging up to throw size. The book then finishes with a Block Tables and Formula chapter for when you’re ready to start designing your own quilts.
