Finding Your Balance Quilt
Meet the Finding Your Balance Quilt!
I ended up designing this and making it the week before the UK went into lockdown back in March. My anxiety was really bad and designing and making this sweet wall-hanging/baby quilt really helped me find some balance in this midst of all the uncertainty and chaos.
As always, I hadn’t planned on making a second, but when a bundle of Ruby Star Society just happened to “fall” through my front door (read: my partner is amazing and bought me a monthly FQ subscription) I knew that the soft pinks and yellows would be perfect. I’m not usually a pinks or pastels sewist, but after making this one (which I actually like more than the original!) I’m definitely going to do more with this colour combo because it’s just so dreamy.
I know how much you all love switching up colours in patterns, so I had a little play and came up with a few different colourways to inspire you!
And there you have it! From playing around with fabric to finished quilts, I really loved making the Finding Your Balance Quilt and I can’t wait to see the different versions everyone creates. Share yours with the hashtags #findingyourbalancequilt and #caitlisledesigns!
